The front has a picture, that may be the teacher, Dor Meade. 

(Note) May Hart was age 15, Jay Hart was age 15, Rankin Hart was age 16 and Ira Hart was age 8. Ira Hart was grandfather of Leslie. His father was Joshua Hart and they were living with Josh's brother, Harrison (Hack). Rankin, Mae and Jay were his cousins, children of Hack. They didn't live there very long. Maybe just that one winter. They lived in Emmet County before and after that school year.
