Yankee Springs Cemetery burial listings were firsttranscribed in December 2000.Information was gathered by Sara Colburn, and Ruth McMonigle by walking thecemetery again in the summer of 2004. Updated again in 2009. Yankee SpringsCemetery is owned and maintained by Yankee Springs Township and is stillbeing used today. Cemetery is located on Duffy Road, just behind the YankeeSprings Church, north of Shaw Lake and West of Co. Rd 611.
The cemetery andarea was named after William Lewis known as "Yankee Bill" after hedonated the land as a burying ground to the town.
